To strive for something in your life, to achieve a goal and set a new one for yourself is inherent in most of us who want to improve both spiritually and materially. Of course, goals are different. For some, the goal is to go to college, others want to overcome a serious illness, and others want to get married successfully. However, whatever your goal is, you should not turn it into the meaning of life, otherwise, after achieving it, you can become depressed due to the lack of elementary incentives and prospects for the future.

Many books (both purely theoretical and based on many years of practice) have been written about how to achieve this goal. But almost all of them converge to the same elementary actions that allow one to approach the intended point.

Choosing the right target

So, first of all, you should decide what you really want to achieve. Divide your life into "segments" and set your own goal for each of them. For example, in personal life - to meet someone specific; in the professional field - to make a "jump" on the career ladder and "occupy" a certain higher position; in raising the educational level - to enter this particular institute, etc.

Be careful: it is worth formulating only a specific goal, avoiding abstract and general concepts, otherwise you can get something completely different from what was planned (instead of an increase in income - an increased amount of work with the same salary; instead of attention from Petya - the interest of an alcoholic neighbor). Break large goals (for example, build a house) into smaller ones (hire builders, buy materials, cover the roof).

Do not forget to record the time allotted for achieving your goals (pass for a driver's license before your 21st birthday, etc.).

The hardest goals are career goals. There are very few possible options for the development of future events, so a common goal should be formulated and small “sub-goals” on the way to it (finish English courses before the end of the year, change your hair or visit a stylist in July, learn how to work in this computer program until August 10). The simple wording “I want to be a director and earn more money” will most likely remain in my dreams.

Before setting career goals, think about whether you really want it. It is possible that you are presented with an overly idealistic picture: you are the boss (let it be “ middle class”), arrive at your new huge house in a luxury car, spend weekends with friends in the Caribbean, etc. In practice, a higher position most often means an increase in working hours, no days off, nervous breakdowns due to a sense of “danger” on the part of those whom you “bypassed”, and other “pleasures”. Therefore, if you do not want to lose your free time, health and personal life, you should consider the situation. As a variant of the goal, you can use the goal to increase income (by a certain amount) without specifying the position you hold (it is possible that then you will soon be offered a better paid position in another company).

Performance

So, the goal has already been determined, and you just have to ... wait? Of course not. We “take” the first “subgoal” and bring it to life. It doesn’t matter from which “segment” of your life you start fulfilling your goals. You can, for example, almost simultaneously sign up for courses, plan a trip to the mountains for the weekend and run through car dealerships, choosing a car for yourself.

The main thing is to act (but not only in the physical plane). Use the "help" ... of the Universe, of which you are a part (for more details about this method, see John Kehoe's book "The Subconscious Can Do Anything"). We will not delve too deeply into the jungle of our brain and limit ourselves to only small axioms, on the basis of which the methods for achieving our goals were developed:

  • thoughts are material - everything you think about manifests itself in your life in one way or another (you will think that you are constantly short of money - they will not appear);
  • if there is no clear goal, you will have to wait for "alms" from the Universe, which, unfortunately, will not be able to help you without your prompting;
  • without changing the way of thinking, it will not be possible to “climb” to the next step (when striving for the position of the director, do not think like a clerk);
  • the method of visualizing the desired allows you to “get closer” to the intended goal much faster;
  • never doubt your abilities - if someone else could achieve what you want, then you will succeed too;
  • do not forget about intuition;
  • let your subconscious mind look for the right answers to your questions, and for this, “load” it with the necessary information and facts;
  • listen to your body - the appearance of any diseases can tell about a person's problems better than he himself;
  • do not limit your life to artificial boundaries (something like, I can't learn foreign language or I will never go on vacation to Egypt);
  • remember, you have no problems, but only opportunities;
  • do not invent excuses for yourself if the road to the goal turned out to be difficult (if you set a goal, achieve it, period);

Ways

All ways to achieve your goals in life (including career and financial sphere) begin with the development of the self-awareness of a successful person, allowing you to expect and see success and opportunities everywhere (as opposed to the consciousness of a loser, who finds only flaws, obstacles and limitations):

First, you need to convince yourself that the world around you takes care of you, endowing you with its wealth. Learn to gratefully accept the gifts of the Universe in your life: a successful acquaintance, promotion wages, the opportunity to relax with your family, the birth of a child and much, much more from what life gives you every day. Try not to say "No!" to any offer suddenly made to you, even if it seems that it will not bring you any "dividends". Ask for time to think and look for the advantageous sides in the offer.

Secondly, realize that life always brings joy and satisfaction. Get rid of the position of a pessimistic loser looking for unsolvable problems and hard work. Try to enjoy every moment of being, from every minute of your favorite work, from talking with friends, from the opportunity to walk home (if you missed the bus or have not yet chosen a car for yourself), from the starry sky (which you managed to see only due to forced overtime work) and from all other beautiful moments.

Thirdly, know that you are full of opportunities that will lead you to your intended goal. Don't limit yourself to three or five of them. There are dozens, hundreds and thousands of them in order to maintain good health, create new relationships, make a career, get close to their children, and even to earn a lot of money.

Fourth, remember that success depends only on yourself. Do not wait for a "kick" to start acting in the right direction and move towards YOUR goal.

Fifthly, feel that you are lucky, a darling of fate. After all, you probably have a lot of wealth in life: friends, parents, children, favorite hobbies, a lot of ideas ... (constantly add to the list when you find another “treasure”, for example, the ability to grow flowers or play the guitar).

The “road” you choose to reach your goal is not always the shortest. That is why, having discovered that any action you have planned (which, in your opinion, should lead you to the intended result) does not work out on the second, third and subsequent attempts, it is worth stopping. Most likely, this is simply not the way to go. The universe may have given you other "cues" on how to achieve your goal, but you didn't notice them. Try to stop tightly controlling the situation and “let go” of it (switch your attention to the goal in another segment of your life). In a few days (or even hours), you will definitely get the opportunity to take another road leading to your dream.

We constantly set ourselves certain goals, and dream about what will happen when we achieve them. But the path from a dream to a result can be difficult. Sometimes laziness interferes, sometimes fear. It often happens that enthusiasm passes and we enter a state of rest, allowing the dream to remain a dream. About, how to achieve your goal without stopping at anything, read in this article.

Clearly state the goal

To begin with, it is important to clearly understand what you want to achieve and in what time frame. Plans, of course, can be adjusted, but they must be specific, not vague, then it is much easier to pave the right path to their implementation. This is the first thing you need to know when figuring out how to achieve a goal. So what do you want? Say it now.

Motivation

The main thing that will become the “fuel” for your movement forward is motivation. You must really really want something, feel like a dream and do not forget to regularly evoke this feeling in yourself so that the desire does not disappear. Here you need to understand that the more you want, the faster you will learn how to achieve your goals and the faster you will achieve. Therefore, think about what you will get as a result? Do you want this? Make it so that there is a shiver of anticipation of what you want.

Break the goal into several small tasks

Sometimes your “wishlist” can make your head spin - how to achieve everything? It's so much work! From such thoughts, hands can fall and enthusiasm disappears. Therefore, in order not to lose interest in achieving the goal, break it down into several stages, smaller tasks that need to be solved. Reaching each individual stage is much easier and this brings you closer to the main goal. And you will see your progress, which will add significantly. For example, if you want a perfect figure, then your task for today is to choose a gym where you will go to practice. Buy a subscription tomorrow. Simple tasks, but each of them is a step towards your dream.

The key is to take the first step.

This is simply phenomenal in its effectiveness. If you want to know how to achieve your goal, just take the first step. When you think about all the work that you need to do today, you immediately want to hit your head against the wall, laziness turns on and there are hundreds of reasons to do nothing or postpone things until tomorrow. But if you focus on the fact that you only need to do a small thing, "only 5 minutes of work", then it is quite possible to force yourself. And then get involved and the work will go by itself. Therefore, focus on the beginning of work, appetite comes with food.

Be confident in yourself - this is a real magnet! It will always attract people to you! Donald Trump.

Write down your goals every day

It is very useful to write down tasks for the next day in a notebook. Let it be a few points, but they are clearly formulated and you have set a goal for yourself. You start thinking about it, focusing on the solution, and your conscience and dignity will push you forward. No one wants to look like a weakling in their own eyes, who is not able to do those things that he himself recognized as important. This effect is achieved precisely thanks to a clearly formulated and written task.

Don't wait for 100% completion

Many are waiting for the right moment to take action. But the truth is that there are no ideal conditions, you will always be either tired or you will not have the right tool at hand. So don't wait for the right moment, it's already here. Every moment is a chance to take a step forward.

Always think

You must always keep in mind the way to achieve your goal. If you think in the right direction all the time and analyze the necessary information, then you tune in to your wave and soon you will begin to notice that thoughts come to your mind that you didn’t suspect before. It will be a way to solve problems that may have seemed unsolvable. Therefore, connect your head more often.

Discipline

This is perhaps the main factor that will help you solve any problems. We often find ourselves justifying why today we need to rest, or do a little less, but you just have to force yourself. It is not your mind or skills that will be decisive, but willpower. If you can break the task into certain stages and every day disciplinedly, even “I can’t through it”, do everything necessary, hit one point, then you will definitely succeed.

You will succeed if you do not stop halfway .Konosuke Matsushita

Don't slow down

If you want to know how to achieve your goal - do not slow down! There are always chances to achieve the desired result, and it is important to use them, and not wait for the right moment. If the right bus pulls up to you, jump into it, the next one does not know when it will appear and whether it will appear at all. So don't slow down!

Ignore criticism

If you manage to calmly relate to constructive criticism, this is good, but if criticism can upset you and knock you off the rhythm, then protect yourself from it. In any case, the assessment of the other person will not be absolutely correct in relation to your situation, it is always subjective. You yourself will be able to evaluate your work and your plans better than anyone else. Therefore, do not listen to anyone, build your dream.

Learn from the experience of others

If you want to find effective method how to achieve your goals, then look around, because no one has canceled the importance of studying someone else's experience. This will allow you to be inspired by the successes of other people. After all, they are not smarter than you, but they were able to achieve the desired result. In addition, you will be able to avoid the mistakes that they made along the way. Listen to sensible advice, but always think about how these they suit you personally.

Do what you really enjoy

This is the key to success. Often, to achieve a goal, you have to work hard and study absolutely everything related to your business. Such a load is not easy to withstand, but the pleasure that you get when you do what you love gives strength. Therefore, sincere interest is very important for achieving the goal.

Here we figured outhow to achieve your goals. And most importantly, never give up. Every mistake or difficulty along the way is an experience from which you will create your success. And so - just go ahead and you will succeed!

Secret technologies for success

How to achieve your goals.
Fundamentals of the psychology of success

In life, it often happens that you need to do something important. You realize the importance of the matter, but you lack the desire and energy to work. As psychologists say, you have low motivation for activity. Motivation is closely related to other psychological processes: perception, thinking, attitude towards oneself. Changing the perception of certain objects, forming a new style of thinking, we develop a new attitude towards our activities. When a person begins to think differently, he begins to act differently. By accustoming yourself to new thinking (perceiving yourself and your activity differently), you thereby change your motivation for activity. There are several technologies that allow you to achieve high motivation with minimal effort.

Relive good memories

A graduate of the university, Sergei decided to find a decent job. To begin with, he chose the easiest way to search - to find suitable job advertisements in the press and call the phone numbers listed there. In addition, he decided to call all the recruiting agencies found in the telephone directory. Having prepared his resume, yesterday's student set to work. But very soon, after several unsuccessful calls, Sergey completely lost interest in activities (since telephone conversations “did not stick”). There was depression, a feeling of helplessness, fear of new phone calls. He began to look for reasons and excuses not to call the phone number indicated in the ad, every day he postponed calls to recruitment agencies “for tomorrow”, etc.

The following psychological technique can help Sergei. It's called "Reviving Good Memories"

  1. Think back to a time in your life when you did something well. What exactly and why was it so easy for you then? Why are you unable to do something today?
  2. Recall a specific successful episode and try to relive it in detail. Then relive fond memories from other episodes. What were your feelings then? What is stopping you from feeling similar feelings now?
  3. Try to evoke those feelings now and get carried away with something. Transfer these feelings from the past to the activity that you need to do now. Link inspiration from past successes to your goals today.
  4. Write down your impressions, feelings, reasoning. Write a self-hypnosis text that you can reread and keep yourself motivated in the future.

As soon as Sergei remembered his successes in the past (victory at the school olympiad, academic success at the university, a successful deal that recently brought a good income), he felt better. Longing and disappointment decreased, he felt a surge of energy, inspiration, self-confidence. Then he took a piece of paper and wrote down the following sayings:

No one is defeated until he admits he has been defeated.
Faith in success, great desire, perseverance are the components of success.
I believe in myself.
I know exactly what I want to achieve.
I won't give up on the first failure.
I will turn failure into victory.
I will definitely succeed.
Readiness for success is the main secret of its achievement.
I will do everything I have in mind.
Success depends on my efforts and desire to achieve it.
Success comes to those who strive for it.
Nothing will affect my dream.

Change your attitude towards mistakes.

It is very important to be positive (with a positive attitude) about possible mistakes. This maintains motivation at the appropriate level, encourages you to work on your shortcomings and weaknesses. Only those who do nothing do not make mistakes. Despite the banality of this saying, many people are terrified of possible failures. Most often, the reason lies in early childhood - too harsh and authoritarian parents who severely punished the slightest childish prank and suppressed any initiative of the child.

Over the years, children's fear of parents can be transformed into a fear of punishment from higher authorities. Especially if you come across a boss "from childhood", very similar to parents from childhood memories - cruel and authoritarian. Constantly afraid of making a mistake, such a person becomes passive, completely loses creative initiative in his professional activity. At the same time, really active people admit more mistakes, but they are much more likely to succeed than passive people. It is no coincidence that many foreign companies financially encourage their employees even for those creative ideas that “failed”. This attitude keeps people highly motivated and eager to constantly experiment and think outside the box.

Mistakes and failures should not be afraid; they need to be worked on, as they are very useful as a material for self-improvement and a stimulus to activity.

  1. Reflect and write down your statements that express a positive attitude towards failures and mistakes and the prospect of overcoming them. You can use these sayings to support your motivation.
  2. Carefully analyze a setback that you experienced recently (or sometime before). Think about ways to overcome them. Determine which skills and abilities you have are underdeveloped and need to be improved. Reflect on the methods you will use as you work to develop certain skills and abilities.
  3. Come up with several mottos that would help you respond positively to your own failures and mistakes. For example: “Mistakes are great! Now I know what to work on."

Working on his mistakes, Sergey wrote:

  1. 1. Failures and mistakes are good science for those who want to improve. Lots of bad phone calls? This is no longer scary, because there is something to work on.
  2. 2. Mistakes are helpful for my development. Now I know how to talk on the phone, how to build a conversation in order to effectively introduce myself to potential employers. I also know what I need to improve.
  3. Let the previous attempt was unsuccessful, but it taught me a lot. I won't allow it in the future. I am sure that having accumulated the experience of previous mistakes, I will definitely achieve success.
  4. I am fully prepared for the fact that out of 30 phone calls there will be only one successful. And the faster I get 30 failures, the sooner I get to my success.

With renewed vigor, Sergei began to look for work. However, he did not have to score 30 failures. Of the 24 phone calls, 6 turned out to be successful - in 6 places they became interested in him and invited for an interview. In the future, out of these six in 2 places, Sergei was offered to sign a contract. Another lucrative offer came from recruitment agency where he turned anyway. After some thought, he chose the most suitable option. So Sergei managed to overcome himself and won.

Create a situation of success.

Julia (a first-year student) set herself the goal of mastering English language. After studying for about a month, she abandoned her studies. Realizing the need for systematic studies, she was no longer able to organize herself for daily work. She attributed the failure to her allegedly poor language skills, as well as insufficient willpower.

To perfectly learn a foreign language, you need to work long and hard, more than one year. And in order to keep track of your achievements today, you need to find criteria by which it would be possible to determine even a slight progress towards the goal, even barely noticeable improvements. When the overall goal is not specified, when specific intermediate tasks are not scheduled, it is very difficult to fix the changes. Imagine a person studying English hard for a whole month. A lot of energy has already been expended. Fatigue has accumulated. And the desired goal (knowledge of the language) is still far away. As a result, he drops his hands. After all, a person has set a goal for himself - to travel 5000 km, and as soon as possible, but so far he has only covered 20. Against the background of the goal set, his current achievements are more than modest. They are practically invisible, no progress is noticeable. As a result, a person experiences nothing but longing and disappointment.

But when he focuses his attention not on the final goal, but on intermediate tasks, then it's a completely different matter. Then life becomes more fun and work is much easier. Suppose a person has set himself an intermediate goal - today you need to walk five kilometers. Five more tomorrow. The day after tomorrow - more. Walked 5 km today - well done, get some candy. The intermediate goal has been reached. The next day I walked another 5 km - already twice well done, the day after tomorrow - already three times, etc. The amount of achievements and successes is gradually accumulated. And along with it, self-esteem and the desire to achieve more grow. And this positive baggage stimulates to work further and not stop halfway.

Even a small success has a significant motivating effect, inspires activity. Therefore, it is very important to create a situation of success for yourself. If you have planned the stages of achieving the goal, then this may be the achievement of the first of them. Anything that you have planned and already accomplished can and should be experienced as a great success.

The “secret technology” for creating a situation of success might be:

  1. A person is able to induce to activity not only others, but also himself. When there is no desire to work (but you are aware of the importance of the matter), communication with yourself, persuasion or a request addressed to yourself, help overcome the difficulties of self-organization. Find the best motivation techniques that suit your personality more than others. Write down some self-motivations. What form they will be - sincere requests, peremptory orders, logical arguments, emotional appeals or rude curses - depends on you. Choose from them the best.
  2. Break down your end goal into a series of specific milestones and recognize the importance of achieving each one. Set as many specific (and realistic) goals as you can and strive to achieve them. List specific steps to achieve the goal.
  3. Plan how to achieve a specific goal (or a specific stage of achieving it). The goal should be chosen of medium difficulty, since the achievement of easy goals will not be experienced as success, and the achievement of too difficult ones will require a lot of time and effort, and is often simply impossible. What goal would you like to achieve?
  4. Determine quantitative or qualitative indicators by which you could record even minor positive changes in your work. For example, in sports, an improvement in performance even by thousandths already stimulates the athlete, because it indicates progress. In the study of languages, such a criterion may be an increase in active vocabulary, etc.
  5. Make every effort to successfully complete the task, achieve at least one of your goals. Have you achieved this specific goal? What difficulties did you have to overcome?
  6. Remember to praise yourself for having achieved even a small success (“What a great fellow I am!”). Positive emotions associated with achieving success are very important. "Reward" yourself with something. What prize have you prepared for yourself?

And what about our Julia?

Later, having taken up the matter seriously, the girl began to convince and ask herself: “Julia, I beg you, stop messing around! Take care of your mind, you are capable and so smart! I beg you, work on your English every day! You know that only systematic studies will bring results. You are a good fellow and you can always find at least an hour for this important matter. You are a real beauty, and others will like you even more when you master English.

She then developed a system of milestones that allowed her to monitor her progress in learning English. Thus, the student was able to overcome her difficulties in self-organization and henceforth daily (and not sporadically, as it was before) worked on improving the foreign language.

How to achieve your goals

What goals to set, how to set goals correctly, and the necessary steps to achieve any goal you set.

Good time to you! In the last article, we analyzed the importance that, as it seems to many, nonsense, success in any area of life depends in the first place.

And today we will consider: what goals should be set, how to set them, and what is generally needed in order to achieve the goals set.

By and large, I will not tell you something particularly new, everything has been known for a long time, rather I will draw your attention to some key points and give a simple but really working scheme that I use myself, and which helps me achieve certain success step by step .

I will not say that I have achieved great results in financial plan, but it’s also good that I was already able to get out of a deep hole in the form of considerable debts and loss of housing after my first bad experience in business.

So, with regard to goals in general, I am sure that the first thing that should be most cherished for any person is goal - BE HAPPY.

That is, you need to want not to survive, not to reach old age somehow, but want to be truly happy! It means living a life in which you will increasingly feel comfort, peace and joy within yourself.

And until this goal becomes paramount for you, some fears, laziness and excuses will stop you all the time.

"Everything comes true when the decision to be happy becomes a lifestyle."

But very, very many people, without even realizing it, live just the same survival, if only to somehow live. They do not try to change something for the better, to achieve something, but simply go with the flow, living in the usual (old) comfort without caring about the quality of their life, and believe the well-known saying - "Better a titmouse in the hands than a crane in the sky" .

Well, all right, if this tit can still fly somewhere, but for some it has been half-dead for a long time, its wings are clipped and it’s not like flying, but spruce-spruce weaving.

Of course it's very important be able to live comfortably with what you have, but you need to strive for the crane .

Therefore, it is simply necessary to set yourself the main goal of becoming happy. This is the most important and beautiful goal!

But the point here is that in itself this goal is vague, it does not indicate what we need for happiness. Therefore, to begin with, we will analyze what it may consist of, where to look at all.

What goals to set for yourself.

There are many areas in our life and each is important in its own way:

  • internal, state of mind , this is the most important! If you mentally experience suffering, all the time or often you feel some kind of inner pain, then everything else (given below) begins to lose its meaning. And this is the first goal that you need to set for yourself - to find peace of mind. After all, life is first of all - internal state , not achievements, events and situations.
  • physical health , in bad health, for example, a person is paralyzed, even having a million dollars, this will not make him cheerful, money can only give some comfort.
  • Work(creative realization), if a person goes to work like hard labor, is forced to obey, endures and is afraid of losing his job, and every morning begins with thoughts: "God, how to live another working day, if only a weekend", then we can hardly talk about happiness;

Take a closer look, everyone has some plans for you, colleagues at work, firms (organizations), the state and even relatives. Everyone wants something from you, but by and large, no one cares about what you yourself want. But it is very important not to ignore your sincere desires, to satisfy them and to do in life what just for you like and give pleasure.

Remember what aroused your interest or try yourself in something new, and listen to yourself what resonates with you in your soul. It can be any activity - dancing, music, painting, knitting, photography, cooking, gardening, programming, or even animal training.

And start getting involved in this, study and gradually become an expert, in the future, this can become the main source of your income, because it is in your favorite business that people achieve the greatest success. Especially now, when, with the development of the Internet, a lot of new professions and opportunities for self-realization and earning have appeared.

And for this it is not at all necessary to take drastic steps, quit your old job or arrange a revolution, act for the future just start experimenting and learning.

  • Financial(material) sphere, if there is not enough money and you have to worry all the time, where to get something to at least eat normally and give the basic necessities to relatives, this is also not very bright and will strain all the time. I'm not talking about our dreams and desires - to travel, pamper ourselves, relatives, etc.
  • Personal(family) relations. A lonely person can live well, but he will be happy only if he was able, so to speak, to develop spiritually deeply, when only his own and existence can please him. But you and I are not some kind of enlightened, not Buddhist monks, and constant loneliness will be a burden to us.
  • Environment and friends , all this is also important for the joy and pleasure in life, besides, our success largely depends on it.

But you need to be careful in choosing such people and not be afraid to leave those who do not support and inspire you.

  • Self-development . Here I will simply say that it is always important for us to strive to develop, even in the smallest steps. We do not have such a thing that, having achieved some result, it would be possible to hang in this state and somehow hold back the development. We either move forward or degrade.

If, for example, you have excessive fullness and weak muscle tone, then it would be good to strive for the development of the body, if you are worried about internal problems and you often experience negative emotions, and perhaps there are emotional disorders, then it is important to take care of your inner world, something to study and apply to improve your well-being and its stability.

In general, you need to set your own goals in these areas, because all these moments together make us happy, inspired and energetic, and they will differ in some way for everyone, because we are all different, for everyone different conditions and resources, different predispositions and inclinations, and for everyone right now something may be of particular need.

How to set goals the right way.

Take a pen, a piece of paper and, slowly, think and write down what goals you have now. What do you want from life? Write first everything that comes to mind, it can be 10, 20 or more goals.

Next, take another piece of paper and write out of all the goals described earlier, the most necessary , the most cherished 2-3 goals for you, without which you cannot imagine a happy life, in which you will give yourself with all your heart, which excites when you think about it. In general, determine what you will want to wake up for every day, what will give you the feeling that your life is not in vain.

By the way, one of these goals, for a given period of life, will take precedence over the others, this is the most what you need now, but the priority may change over time.

When you write these two or three goals, leave space between them about a third of the sheet, here we will enter “required actions”.

So, for this purpose, describe in details How would you like to live and what to do? For example, I would like to do this, to have such and such a family, to have such and such, specifically in numbers, material income, where and how to live, for example, in own house on the bank of the river, there are so many rooms in the house, there is a garage, etc., in general, describe in more detail and more colorfully.

And write not some unrealizable dreams, like: to have a billion dollars and to be loved by everyone, but let them be bold and hot dreams, but it is imperative that realistically achieved in some foreseeable future(eg 1 or 3 years).

You can take your time and draw up a list with goals gradually, over several days, now the main thing is to begin, and then, without too much delay, bring to the end.

How to achieve the goal - concrete actions

After describing the goals, in the space left, we write the paragraph: "The most necessary actions leading to the goal."

At this point, think about and note those concrete actions to take in order to achieve what you want.

And write actions starting with the smallest steps, what will be the first and what will be next.

For example, if you are single and want to start a family, then the first action would be: go outside and take a walk where you can meet certain people, or find a dating site. And the second step will be: without too much thought, continuing to feel embarrassed, go up and talk to a person, say at least a couple of words or write a message to him.

And if now these actions prevent you from doing excessive fullness and the uncertainty associated with this, then we set ourselves intermediate goal: “Start eating right and exercising in order to become more confident and attractive.”

The same applies to the most important thing - our health.

What do you need to feel good, be cheerful and energetic? And now think about how best to achieve this - what actions, where to start here and there?

These actions must be reliable, that is, proven, proven and effectively working, and not some of their own or others, little-verified stories and conjectures.

Example. For my good health, stability, well-being and energy, I need:

  • relax regularly (what specific actions?)
  • complete rest (when, how and what?)
  • playing sports (what sport, what do I like best, what will be especially useful in my case?)
  • learn (what exactly are the ways?), etc.

That is, describe the specific actions in stages necessary to achieve the goal.

Scheme:

  1. Detailed clear goal that we have set for ourselves

Fixing the set goals

After writing a leaflet with goals and actions, often find a separate minute and remember (dream), periodically look through this sheet, and even better if you at least sometimes (preferably more often), and for example in the morning, rewrite goals in a separate notebook, in this case motor skills will be connected. It has been scientifically proven that the brain begins to perceive the information described by the hand in a different way, more deeply and purely, and assimilates it better. Imagination and writing on paper are the most powerful tools for self-development.

It will also help if you record your goals on an audio player and occasionally listen to the recording. After all, it is important not only to know your goal well, but fix it in the mind, make it an idea and start living it . After all, there is nothing stronger than an idea, if some thought has built a nest in the head, it begins to control our life, and it’s good if this idea is useful!

I also want to recommend you one very convenient service, which was created specifically for setting and achieving goals using the SMART methodology. The service was created by Russian enthusiastic developers, it has all the necessary tools and the ability to additionally motivate yourself with the help of like-minded people and social networks. Probably one of you this method Tracking and achieving goals is best. SmartProgress.do >>>

What should always be remembered

Dreaming and acting towards your goals, it is important remember the present , otherwise constantly thinking about where you would like to be, you lose the ability to enjoy life here and now.

It doesn’t work in life that, they say, I will achieve my goal and then I will live, I will become happy. In life it's the other way around at first you mentally relax and start to relate more easily to yourself, to your goals and life itself, and without unnecessary stress, without burnouts, you begin to move towards your plan, then everything magically, albeit not always quickly, turns out.

Therefore, keep a big goal for the future, but try live by one day , solving small problems as they come, and not thinking ahead about everything, and not bringing yourself to illness and the pursuit of achievements. A big goal, as a bright landmark to which you need smoothly pursuit.

Just do not forget that everything you do is primarily for the sake of your happiness, and to be in good mood and be content with life, you can already right now, and this, if not strange, depends only on you!

How to achieve your goals

Having set goals and periodically remembering them, start moving towards this, trying no distractions on harmful thoughts, useless and stupid people, quarrels, arguments with someone and empty activities.

And start now right now at least just do first steps without waiting for the perfect moment .

Many people make one of the biggest mistakes, they are constantly waiting for this perfect moment to start something. They spend their whole lives in this expectation, until one day their dream turns into disappointment. And in life very often this happens.

People think so, I’ll start when I’m ready, when I get more knowledge, or when my condition improves and I gain confidence, or in general, when some stars converge and there will be a sign from above.

In fact, everything is simple - there will never be a perfect moment, and you disturbing yourself change life for the better. You are afraid and listen to your fear, you do not have faith in yourself and your strength. Probably sometime earlier you made a mistake and maybe not one, or maybe someone told you some kind of "nasty thing", you believed and that's it. And now they are fixated on the fear of failure, which now does not allow you to do something necessary, and someone even began to think that he was in life.

And it always seems to the maximalist that they are not competent enough, that you need to gain more knowledge, although, in fact, you don’t need to gain anything, it’s enough if you just know something well and can bring real benefits, and perfection will come with practice and time.

And all it takes is trust yourself, trust life and take the first step!.

Of course there is a risk, but risk, this is the second gold, he is always there, and he differs from recklessness in great opportunities to make his life and the life of loved ones happier.

And often in life, one necessary action is more important than all knowledge, just like a few seconds can change everything. For example, when meeting, when all you need is to make up your mind and just speak.

Finally:

Surely, many of you have now thought, they say: “Ah, reluctance, I’ll write about the goals later, I’m not up to it now,” or “It’s not so important, I won’t write anything, it’s unlikely to help anyway.” It means that your old beliefs have worked inside you, which slow down and spoil your whole life.

For those who did, keep this goal and action sheet, review and apply it, it will come in very handy!

If nothing comes to your mind right now and it’s incredibly hard to think about goals, perhaps

P.S. Watch Brian Tracy's video on how to set goals.

Based on my achievements, I want to show the mechanism by which you can achieve personal goals.
I have achieved my goals more than once, but here I will only talk about the brightest of them.

First of all, I will explain that I divide all goals into active, passive, zero and “broken”.

Zero goals

Those goals that you will never achieve, but desperately plan from year to year.

Example: zero goal is to learn a foreign language.

I'm always going to learn Spanish, I bought a textbook, wrote down the lessons, but I just can’t get together and start a purposeful study of the language.

You can plan for years, but only take up your studies when this goal becomes vital (marry a Spaniard) or becomes a sub-goal for another goal (knowledge of the language will be associated with an important job for you).

Unfortunately, we have many such zero goals. Therefore, when you make your plan, remember the SMART system - your goal should be specific, measurable, achievable, backed up by resources, correlated with time. Otherwise, do not spend money on it, no matter how desirable it may seem. The very existence of a zero goal can draw you out of an important energy and steal it from real targets. Write them down in your "dead horses" and forget.

Passive Targets

Achieving them is quite simple, since everything is entirely up to you. Let's look at the example of my passive goal - save up for a car.

Example: The passive goal is to save up for a car.

When this goal first appeared vaguely in my head, it was just a fleeting thought that I voiced while walking several kilometers to the dacha. To which I was told not to fly in the clouds. This angered me and became a kind of challenge. And the challenge, as you know, is a good motivator.
In addition, my colleagues often discussed cars and teased me, they say, it's time to get your own vehicle. At that time, I did not have a penny in reserve, but I accepted the challenge and after two and a half years saved up for a car.

So, in this example, you can see that in order to achieve a passive goal, you need:

  • Motivation (your motor)
  • Opportunity (there are available funds)
  • The presence of certain knowledge (for example, how to save money wisely or special knowledge and skills if the goal is to write a novel)
  • Purposefulness (the intention to go to the end, no matter what)
  • Self-discipline and patience
  • And help. I didn’t have it, but finding help and support is one of the components of any goal.

Quite easy, right? This goal is quite achievable. Perhaps not as fast as you want, but with patience, self-discipline and free funds in reserve, you will be quite able to accumulate a sufficient amount if force majeure does not intervene (you will be robbed or you will need money for treatment, etc.).

Other examples of passive goals: lose 10 pounds, write a novel, get rid of negative character traits.

Active Targets

Here everything is more difficult. Technically, achieving these goals is not up to you (get promoted, get feelings back). But, on the other hand, your consciousness, thoughts, attitudes play an important role in getting what you want.
To illustrate this, I will give a second example of achieving a large goal from my experience - how i got my book published.

Example: The active goal is to publish a novel.

I've been writing for a long time and was once inspired to write a commercial novel that could be sold. And I set myself the goal of publishing my novel in one of the well-known Moscow publishing houses. My motivation was the desire to be recognized for my talent. But for the most part, it was an interesting adventure that I threw myself into.

It was an active goal, as its fulfillment depended on other people, but mostly on me.
I have done preparatory work: I found the addresses of all famous publishing houses, made a travel route, propagated the novel, phoned relatives in Moscow and took a train ticket. Upon arrival, I went around these publishing houses, leaving a copy of the novel in each, and returned home. A few months later I was informed by e-mail that the novel had been accepted.

Let's explore this goal.
I will make a reservation that it is based on a passive goal - to write a novel, which was completed.

So, to achieve an active goal, you need:

  • Opportunity - the presence of a finished work of art (and not necessarily talented, but well-written)
  • Motivation – the desire to be recognized and appreciated
  • Knowledge, tools - an asset (your professional knowledge and skills that characterize you as a promising author)
  • A clearly drawn up plan (addresses of publishing houses, knowing how to get there, etc.).
  • Purposefulness (intention to go to the end)

It is the material part of the active goal.
You could stop there, but no matter how brilliant your novel is, it does not guarantee that it will be published.

Therefore, you also need:

  • Faith - that you will succeed
  • Disbelief - that it is NOT impossible to achieve this goal!
  • Inspiration - internal energy is necessary, like firewood for a firebox
  • Detachment - does not allow you to get hung up on the goal and quickly burn out this firebox

How can one be inspired and detached at the same time if they are mutually exclusive? This is the whole secret, this is the key to achieving an active goal - to find a balance.

If you master these last four skills, you will be able to achieve your active goal, no matter how bad the source (the promoted novel) is.

My romance was not outstanding, but all the necessary elements to achieve this particular goal were met: I believed that the goal was achievable, other people's failures did not bother me, I was on fire with my goal, but at the same time I just wanted adventure and I would, if no matter what happened, I was still satisfied with the trip and myself.

After analyzing the achievement of this goal and disassembling it into its components, I began to actively use these techniques.

They can tell me that this is impossible, backing it up with examples of people, the environment, a lot of negative experiences, but I just don’t listen. Similar conversations I get irritated.

Example: The active target is to take a train ticket during high season.

I have been vacationing in Yalta for many years and never take a return ticket, because I don’t know how the vacation will go: there is always the opportunity to meet new friends and stay longer. But all people take return tickets, because they are sure that they will not be available at the height of the season. And for me, the last ticket is always at the box office. Why? Because I'm sure he will!

I believe in the miracle of not knowing.
You probably also believe in a miracle that will help you achieve your goal. What is it? Magic spells, recommendations from the film The Secret, mapping out wishes? Believe in a miracle and it will happen! One heroine of the series kept saying: “I don’t want to think about problems - the Universe will take care of me.” It really is - if you truly believe.

“I imagined myself as a talented actor making a lot of money. I literally felt success and tasted it. I just knew it would happen." Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Knowing that it will happen, that everything will work out is perhaps the most important thing. See the goal achieved, try it on yourself and feel whether you are comfortable. If not, then I think nothing will come of it, no matter how hard you try. We should not forget that there are things that we cannot achieve. Why? Something is blocked by our subconscious, something is blocked by our fate (I am a fatalist). About this in the article.

"Broken" goals

Do not forget - sometimes too many obstacles on the way to the goal can warn of something, perhaps this goal will only bring you trouble or trouble.

I’ll tell you how one simple goal - to get to a training session at a sports club, turned out to be a complete fiasco for me. And why did it happen.

Example: a “broken” goal is a trip to training.

One day, many years ago, I came home from school, grabbed my bag and hit the road. It was possible to get to the gym by several means of transport. At first, I had to take the tram, which I did, but halfway through it broke down. There were no alternatives, only to walk about two kilometers. I could return home, but I really wanted to get to the training and I finally got to the traffic intersection. But here, too, there were obstacles. The required number of the trolleybus was still not there, I was very late and took a different route, and again on foot from it. When I finally got to the sports club, I was already half an hour late, but I still couldn’t work out. It turned out that I forgot my sweatpants at home, which I washed the day before and, in a hurry, I forgot to put them in my bag!

The conclusion from this situation suggested itself as follows - the obstacles warned me of failure and it was not worth neglecting these signs of fate. I achieved my goal - I got to training and nothing more. And there have been many such situations in my life, so I am wary of obstacles when there are too many of them and they are quite obvious. Especially when I'm on the road.

But it was said - knock and it will be opened to you. It's always worth trying.

In a word, analyze your goals, try to understand how you achieved them, remember the feelings you experienced - I'm sure this should help you achieve success again.
